MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENCY
Ndekanyi,
I am wishing you all a happy weekend. We are continuing in our efforts to serve you well, and I am confident that you are all keeping us in your prayers. I appreciate the amount of support and information that you continue to share with me on how to move NNAUSA forward. As always, know that together, we will accomplish our collective desires - to achieve progress for the entire Ala Ngwa. Happy weekend, my people. B. O. Eguzouwa, President/CEO. __________________________________________________________________________________________________
NGWA NATIONAL ASSOCIATION, USA Inc. (NNAUSA) www.ngwanational.org (A 501(c) (3) Non-Profit Organization)
April 8, 2013.
A REJOINDER IN RESPECT OF SUN NEWSPAPER PUBLICATION OF APRIL 8 2013 ENTITLED “TROUBLE IN ABIA COMMUNITY.”
In response to the afore-mentioned Sun Newspaper publication, the President/CEO of Ngwa National Association, USA Inc. (NNAUSA), Mr. Boniface O. Eguzouwa, and the NNAUSA National Executive Committee hereby submit as follows: 1) That NNAUSA condemns the act of kidnapping and all forms of violence, irrespective of the jurisdiction in which such act(s) are committed; 2) That the Ngwa people are peace-loving, law-abiding, hospitable, industrious, and progressive;
3) That NNAUSA and Ngwas should continue to be aware that, as is the case in any society, the action of a few individuals can have a negative effect on an entire community; yet, such does not warrant anyone to berate the Ngwa people; 4) That among other things, on October 27, 2010, NNAUSA made a tactful request to His Excellency, President Goodluck Jonathan, an example of several efforts made by the Ngwas to curb the menace of violence in the Ngwa land, which His Excellency granted by deploying and maintaining the military and other security details in the Ukwa/Ngwa metropolis till date. NNAUSA remains active in confronting violence and crime in the Ngwa land. An example of attempts made could be retrieved from the following internet links (http://allafrica.com/stories/201010251540.html or http://www.ngwanational.org/documents/nnausa-openletter.pdf);
5) That NNNAUSA will continue to remain an active machinery of peace in the Ngwa land, and will cooperate with Federal, State, Local and Community authorities in ensuring that peace and development is restored in the entire Ngwa Land; and 6) That NNAUSA’s leadership is actively engaged in information-gathering on said matter, and will duly inform members as facts surrounding the issue unfold. The President is also calling for a renewed effort on the part of His Excellency and all other authorities in Nigeria in making sure that the security of Ngwas and its visitors is guaranteed. Citizens are also encouraged to remain vigilant and to always cooperate with law enforcement. Anyone with useful information on the within-named issue is also requested to reach the President/CEO at717.5991855or e-mail the General Secretary at chigbukingsleygensec@gmail.com
Sincerely,
Boniface O. Eguzouwa Kingsley U. Chigbu President/CEO General Secretary General Secretary

NNAUSA JUBILEE CONVENTION PROCLAMATION AND APPOINTMENTS
Ndekanyi, NNAUSA has become of age, and has been in existence for 25 years. I consider it necessary for us to celebrate NNAUSA's silver Jubilee in a special way this year, and I find no better place to celebrate NNAUSA's 25th birthday than during this year's NNAUSA Annual Convention hosted by our Bay Area Chapter in Sacramento California. This year’s convention shall be named NNAUSA Silver Jubilee convention.
This is a year of hope, peace, and re-dedication for NNAUSA. It is a year we hope to regenerate our great association, considering how far we have come, and how farther we need to go. It is hoped that there would be advertorials in all forms of public media outlets both in us and back home in Nigeria. NNAUSA Secretariat, with the help of the Publicity committee shall announce NNAUSA's solid history and achievements to the world.
While we anticipate the celebration of our association, we must also see this time as a challenging and re-dedication times. We must reach out to heal the cracks in our organization. We must look at those chapters that once recorded vast membership whose numbers now seem to be waning in recent years and ask them "why''? It is a year within which we must call on all our people to return back to NNAUSA family while working hard to retain the current membership and admit new chapters that have met the admission requirements per NNAUSA constitution. The convention brochure shall be a special 'Jubilee Convention' edition, featuring interviews of past presidents, articles, adverts, etc.
JUBILEE UNIFORM
It is proposed that NNAUSA women appear on the Jubilee day with a special Jubilee wrapper uniform to go with a blouse of their choice. A head tire, the same color as the blouse could also be thrown into the mix or whatever the women will decide to wear as a Jubilee uniform. There should also be a good quality collar T-shirt (unisex) with a NNAUSA logo embossed on it recognizing the jubilee as in the case of the wrapper above. For the men it is proposed that they wear a special white jumper and black pants on Saturday, the jubilee day. There would be a large NNAUSA jubilee button which they would pin on their chests. Our young professionals will sell the pin. On Saturday the rest of the convention activities for the day would go on as planned apart from the jubilee fanfare going on.
JUBILEE CAKE
A large jubilee cake would be prepared and each chapter president, assisted by the council rep. would be called up to cut the cake with a donation of $500.00 or $1000.00; at the end of which, each chapter would be honored over a part of the cake for her members. Several awards and honors shall also be made of deserving NNAUSA Chapters, and personalities. In view of the foregoing, I hereby appoint the following people as Jubilee Convention Organizers:
