Rape as a Weapon against the Ngwa Community

Image
I have not written anything in a while. A lot has been happening in our community that not only shocks but it brings tears to my eyes. A few year ago we had the "Utu" phenomenon. A self confessed once professed secretary to witches for a fee was sanitizing the community of people who he once claimed to serve with. He went from village to village and in the process destroyed people who were institutions in their communities. The order of things were now upside down. The youth ran the show and the elders cowered in fear. People found it acceptable to watch 70 year old men and women receive beatings from young men, based on the accusation of a stranger. People found it acceptable to make people drink their own pee. People found it acceptable to banish people from communities they had lived in all their lives because a stranger came into that community and pointed a finger. People used this exercise as an excuse to settle scores. After "Utu" was finished with his e...

IDEALISM VERSUS REALITY

LAWRENCE CHARLES NWANGWA   NGWA/UKWA LIBERATION   (CHARLES NWANGWA PLAN OF ACTION)   IDEALISM VERSUS REALITY   PART ONE   IN THE BEGINNING   A lot have been written, said and analysed on the problems of the NGWA/U   KWA and her peoples, while I do not wish to repeat what have been said   severally, I also consider it apposite to digress on some of our immediate   past justifying the Ngwa adage that "one who fails to note where the   rain began to beat him will not know where it stopped to beat him".   NDINGWA operated an agrarian economy: mainly for subsistence. Any one who did not distinguish   himself either as a powerful farmer, physical prowess as a tiller of   the soil or land owner who could do "kwoo kwoorom (a system whereby the   landowner gives out some portions of land to another who is less endowed   but with physical strength, to cultiv...

Is Sarah Palin's baby drugged?

As a parent of three boys, I have found it very odd that Governor Palin's baby sleeps very calmly whenever you see him in public. It does not matter how noisy or bright the venue, he is as limp as  a rag doll. This discussion came about when I spoke to a friend yesterday. She told me of very republican middle aged woman who was voting for Senator Obama. Her reason was that she was of the belief that Palin's baby was being drugged. She dismissed the theory until the lady explained that she had family in the medical field who specialized in children with down syndrome. She explained that a common characteristic of the babies was an unusual sensitivity to noise. I am calling on people in the medical field or those that have worked with children and infants with down syndrome to give a qualified opinion on this subject. Is Trig Paxson Van Palin drugged or are they carrying a doll and passing it as a baby?
